Pizzas for Parent Night (REACH BOY)

Posted: October 16, 2017

Today was the last day that the students may have had time to work on their 'Number Line/Timeline' Project. The project is due this Friday, 10.20.17

Today in class, the student took their REACH BOY Assessment: Pizzas for Parent Night.  The students were to determine the cost of the pizzas, so they could assess their understanding of rates/proportions, percentages, coordinates, and constant of proportionality.  If the student finished early, they were to use the additional time to work on their 'Number Line/Timeline' Project.

Timeline Project

Posted: October 6, 2017

The project is due Friday, October 20th. Students will not have time in class to work on the project, unless they finish in-class assignments early.

Today in class the students received their rubric and we discussed the expectations for each category.  I gave verbal examples, as well as, showed the students an exemplar of the start of a 'Timeline' project.  The project is due Friday, October 20th.  The students have full creative control, meaning, they can do it on copy paper, construction paper, a poster, or electronically.  If the students do it electronically, they should share it with me, bjbenkovich@cps.edu, on google drive.  Attached is the example.
